Jen's Top Ten: Outdoor Music Venues on the Front Range and Beyond
Spending a few hours enjoying the tunes of my favorite artists live and in-person is always a worthwhile investment of time. Add fresh air and a mountain view? Music to my ears!
I am so excited that some of my most loved outdoor venues are opening back up for shows, and cannot wait to make more wonderful music-filled memories. Here’s a list of crowd favorites that allow for plenty of room to breathe:
Red Rocks Park Ampitheater: 18300 W Alameda Pkwy, Morrison, CO
Red Rocks is THE crown jewel of the outdoor music scene here in Colorado. I am practically bursting at the seams with excitement to be back rocking out on the Rocks! (Also amazing, Film on the Rocks and Yoga on the Rocks.)
Our favorite hometown is offering TWO wonderful live music options this summer:
Louisville Street Faire: Steinbaugh Pavilion - 824 Front Street, Louisville, CO
Friends, family and community come together for seven Friday nights in Downtown Louisville, July 23rd to August September 3rd.
Summer Concerts in the Park: 955 Bella Vista Drive, Louisville, CO
Food trucks & free music from your local favorites— FIVE weeks in a row! Join your Louisville neighbors each Thursday evening from July 15th to August 12th.
Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre: 6350 Greenwood Plaza Blvd, Greenwood Village, CO
Sweeping mountain views and sounds to match. Enough said!
Mishawaka Amphitheatre: 13714 Poudre Canyon Highway, Bellevue, CO
The music and good times flow at this legendary venue situated on the bank of the Poudre River.
Wildflower Pavilion on Planet Bluegrass: 500 W Main Street, Lyons, CO
A simply out-of-this-world place to enjoy the sound of music. We love this laid-back setting for Rockygrass and the Folks Festival, and of course if you want to travel to a different incredible corner of our state, the Telluride Bluegrass Festival is a truly incredible experience.
The Denver Botanic Gardens - 1007 York Street, Denver, CO
Evenings al Fresco - Savor the golden hours at the Gardens with socially distanced performances on select Mondays and Wednesdays this summer.
Gerald R. Ford Amphitheatre: 90 W Benchmark Rd #300, Avon, CO 81620
This indoor-meets-outdoor venue is incredibly intimate: about 1,300 of the just under 2,600 seats are pavilion-covered.
Bands on the Bricks: The Pedestrian Mall on Pearl Street, Boulder, CO 80302
Raise your Avery brew or T/ACO margarita (both available in the on-site beverage garden) to the return of this time-honored Boulder tradition! Enjoy free concerts in the heart of downtown Boulder each Wednesday evening for four weeks in a row, starting July 21st.
Tiki on Main Street: 836 1/2 Main Street, Louisville, CO 80026
Switch Pop-Up has quickly become a social anchor in downtown Louisville. The first of its kind in Louisville, this bar and eatery transforms into a new concept, season by season, and is currently a Tiki bar that’s serving up open-air live music options alongside their creative cocktails and delightful dishes, including Silent Discos on Saturday evenings.
Levitt Pavilion: 1380 West Florida Avenue, Denver, CO 80223
This Denver venue offers over 50 free shows per year, and the summer season is no exception!
