Local Love: 2 Blondes All Breeds Rescue

This week’s local love is 2 Blondes All Breed Rescue, which holds a very special place in my heart. We rescued Cali in May of 2020 through this wonderful organization. Her mom, Hershey (below) was found under a trailer in Houston, TX along with seven newborn puppies, and brought to Colorado to a foster home in Evergreen. It was love at first sight for my family.
2BABR is Denver-based nonprofit dedicated to rescuing dogs from overcrowded, high-risk shelters. They collaborate with volunteers, veterinarians, trainers, and shelters to find permanent homes for dogs, aiming to create a No-Kill Nation. Since 2015, they've rescued over 12,000 animals, primarily serving the Denver, Colorado Springs, and Ft. Collins areas.

Although they don't arrange adoptions outside their service areas, as a non-breed-specific rescue, they take in a variety of purebred and mixed breed dogs. They also ensure veterinary care and typically cover the costs for any medical needs prior to adoption. They openly communicate any continuing medical needs to potential adopters and depend on community backing to sustain their rescue initiatives. They welcome your continued support and help with their ongoing mission to rescue, foster, nurture, and find homes for vulnerable animals in need. It also doesn’t hurt that their Instagram Page is filled with sweet little faces like the one below, looking for their fur-ever home.
