We LOVE supporting local businesses, and thought it was time to talk about our favorite one - my company, Colorado Landmark, Realtors. I have been an agent with Colorado Landmark for 20 years, and truly love this independent, locally owned and operated firm that has been deeply rooted in the communities around Boulder since 1977.
Here’s the Colorado Landmark Story:
“Our story started in 1968, when our founder Joel Ripmaster, graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder, where he played football for the Buffaloes and would spend his time hiking from campus to Chautauqua Park with his college sweetheart and later to be wife. The two young Midwestern students would walk and daydream about one day owning a home in Boulder, starting a family and a business, and spending a life here. Joel fell in love with Boulder, his wife, and residential real estate and what it represented to his young family.
In 1977, Joel opened the Colorado Landmark doors for the first time with a clear mission:
Provide the most personalized support, flawless guidance and unrivaled knowledge of the real estate market to local and global Boulder County homebuyers and sellers.
One year later, he purchased his first home in Chautauqua Park fulfilling his dream, and in so doing discovered the identity of his burgeoning business.
From that day forth we became Colorado Landmark Realtors.
This mission is living proof and rings as true today as it did decades ago. While the world changes, the economy and trends change, and the real estate markets change, one thing remains steadfast. People need a trusted advisor, a local expert, a partner in the home buying and selling process.
Today, we are sixty agents strong in three offices located to best serve the growing and expanding needs of our clients. Colorado Landmark - Niwot
We also have a beautiful office in Downtown Niwot, located at 136 2nd Avenue, where our agents who live and work in that community are constantly involved in community events like Rock and Rails, the First Friday Art Walks, Wine About Winter, and the Holiday Parade.
Colorado Landmark - Louisville
We talked for years about wanting to open an office in Louisville or Lafayette. Several of our agents live in the communities of Erie, Broomfield, Superior, Lafayette and Louisville, and while we loved our beautiful main office in Downtown Boulder, we hoped for a space a bit closer to home where we could connect more with the communities we lived in.
We searched for spaces all over the eastern side of Boulder County and nothing was ever quite right. Until this beauty at 1002 Griffith Street came on the market. The second we saw it, we knew it was the perfect home for the Colorado Landmark, Louisville office. We had an offer in the same day, and celebrated our grand opening in February of 2020. Set just a few blocks north of Downtown Louisville, the historic building speaks beautifully to our Landmark name, and the interior has been completely renovated and is fresh, modern, and full of light. We LOVE being there and it’s a wonderful space to meet clients. We look forward to hosting fun events for our clients and community once it is safe again to do so.
