Local Love: The Post Chicken and Beer

The Post Estes Park.jpg

What is a summer picnic without fried chicken and cold beer? We have loved The Post Chicken and Beer since they first opened their Lafayette location, and since then they have grown to Boulder, Longmont, Denver, and now, Estes Park. Their newest location opened last week, and we can’t wait to check it out.

They start with humanely raised, all natural chicken, and then prepare it beautifully with gluten-free flour. The result is an incredible, mouth-watering meal, paired with some of our favorite sides: warm buttermilk biscuits, green chile mac and cheese, beets and sweets, mashed potatoes, and so many other delicious options

The beer stands on its own, but is even better paired with all of the above deliciousness. My favorite, the Howdy Western Pilsner has won several awards including a few at our favorite Great American Beer Festival. My husband is a fan of the Townie IPA which has also also won a medal in the Denver International Beer Competition.

The newest location sits at the base of the incredible Rocky Mountain National Park, in the grounds of the Historic Stanley Hotel.
