Owner and Founder Paula Minnis spent over a decade as an executive in the fashion industry, working in L.A., San Francisco, and Dallas. Starting as a buyer, she progressed to roles in visual merchandising, retail consulting, and brand development. After a few life changes, she founded GAIA Empowered Women in 2009, a lifestyle brand providing sustainable employment to refugee women in Dallas. In 2021, she and her family moved to Boulder. Embracing her newfound love for the outdoors, she is now starting the third chapter of her career with The Refinery. Combining her passion for interior design and visual storytelling, The Refinery reflects her belief in the transformative power of a warm and inviting home.
