We couldn’t let Cinco de Mayo pass without featuring my favorite local Mexican restaurant! It doesn’t get much tastier than Teocalli in Lafayette, a local institution offering the most delectable regional Mexican fare. From your first sip to your last bite, you are in for a flavorful unfolding!
Located in the adorable downtown Lafayette, Colroado, Teocalli’s chefs pay homage to traditional Mexican cuisine incorporating corn into many of their incredible dishes, and their entire menu is gluten free. With vegetarian, vegan, and nut allergy-friendly options, their team ensures there is not just something, but a variety of options, for everyone in your party to enjoy.
Whether you’re dining in, on Teocalli’s sun-drenched patio, or ordering curbside, you won’t want to miss their homemade salsas and delicious signature cocktails - the sweet and spicy El Minero is my favorite, with Fresno and Jalapeno infused tequila, pineapple, lime, and saffron bitters. And I dream about the Tijuana style shrimp tacos - they are so delicious that it’s hard for me to order anything else on the menu, even though I know that every item is SO GOOD.
