2021 Kitchen Design Trends

We have all used our kitchens more in the past year than ever before. What has always been the heart of the home is used now more than ever, and not just for cooking and eating. Our kitchens now serve as home offices, study areas and work spaces. Since they are where we spend the most time, they are also where many people are focusing their energy and home improvement budgets. Here are some design trends to keep an eye out for this year:

Marble Surfaces: Marble islands, countertops and backsplashes have made a huge comeback and are known for their luxury feel, durability and sustainability - plus they are simply gorgeous.

High-tech appliances: Technology is making our lives easier is so many ways - and these kitchen options are no exception. Top of the line “smart” appliances like refrigerators with apps that can check the contents while you are grocery shopping, microwaves that can be turned on and off through Alexa or Google Assistant, and a range-oven with dual cameras so you can Facetime with Mom while she’s helping you with a recipe.

Jennifer Fly Real Estate Double Kitchen Island

Double Kitchen Islands: Allowing for more seating and storage, the double-island is becoming increasingly popular. This also allows for extra space for work, home-school, and family time while not taking up the normal cooking and prep space.

Paneled Appliances: Even if our appliances can all but cook our meal for us, we still might prefer not to look at them. Beautiful paneling can help the appliances blend in with the rest of the cabinetry, creating a beautiful uniform look, so the kitchen can be both functional and beautiful. We also LOVE the look of these Cafe Appliances.

Outdoor Kitchens: As we continue to spend time at home, and stay outside when we can spend time with friends, outdoor kitchens and outdoor living spaces have become more popular than ever. Grills, outdoor refrigerators, prep sinks, and cozy fire-pits are all in high demand.
