One of my favorite local getaways in Colorado is just a couple hours from Boulder.

Nestled within 6,500 acres of pristine landscapes, the ranch invites guests to step back in time to the days of early homesteaders while indulging in modern comforts and thrilling outdoor activities. Located just 75 miles outside of Denver, this mountain getaway is a western oasis that feels like you’re a world away from the city. The ranch has been open since 1938, offering guests cozy cabins and sleeping arrangement with activities galore for all seasons.

The ranch also offers a variety of ways you can relax and unwind. Guests can participate in daily yoga, indulge in a massage, and visit the hot tub, pool, and sauna. Afterwards, they can grab a glass of wine or cocktail and, weather permitting, either sit fireside or outdoors overlooking the beauty of Colorado. There’s also two on site restaurants for guests to dine at, Heck’s Tavern, and The Ranch House, which are only available to guests of the resort. Featuring pasture-to-fork modern-western cuisine, and primarily serving wagyu beef, it’s a culinary treat for guests to enjoy a meal after a hard earned day of taking it easy on the ranch. It’s truly a getaway that offers luxury and relaxation in the fresh Colorado mountain air.
