Local Love: Thalken Mercantile

This Local Love spotlight is all about Thalken Mercantile, an owner operated boutique in Lafayette that specializes in minimalist jewelry, homemade candles and cards, and a plethora of other goodies. Owners Hana and Will not only make most of their products in house, they also sell items from local artists and creators to help support the creative community and their works. They are most known for their handmade jewelry and candles, created by Hana and Will, which are minimalist in nature, and beautiful to look at.

Additional items for sale include things like homemade cards (also made by Will), crystals, apparel, tea, and of course, cute socks. There is something for everyone at this local boutique, and you’re bound to be excited by all of the beautiful things they sell.

Even better is their Instagram, where Hana and Will constantly post hilarious and fun videos about the store, their personal lives, and even cute videos of themselves dancing. They truly have a passion for their shop, and it’s evident in every item they create. They are also joined by their toy/mini aussie Max. Although he isn’t for sale, he is sure to brighten any customer’s day when they step inside, and is the resident sock connoisseur. The store offers a fun, laid back vibe that makes everyone feel welcome. From the owners themselves:
